Little Turtle wanted to get a closer look at these stone walls he’s been seeing all over the Lake District. Some of them are extremely old, and they’re put together without the use of any mortar! The technique is called “dry stone” in England and “dry walling” in the US. Some of these walls get very high up on some pretty steep hills!
